Found your friend from the park. He's not exactly stable, but nobody's kidnapping or killing him at the moment. The police might be hunting for him, though. Anyway, I hope you're settling in okay - feel free to help yourself to anything in the fridge. I might be out late tonight, and, well, it's not that I wouldn't like the company, but... I don't really have an outfit in your size... ...I could get you one, though.

We need to talk. I know you don't have any really compelling reasons to trust me, but given how crazy this city is, I figured it might be a good idea for those of us with, uh, unique night jobs to do a little networking.

Well, I'm not going to force you into one or anything. But... if you're going to come with me when I'm in costume, you've got to go incognito. It'd be too easy to figure out that the dark-haired guy who you're staying with is also the dark-haired guy in a mask you're fighting crime with.

How about a hoodie or something? I could keep the hood up, and it'd cover my face. I just don't think I'm a costume kind of girl. At least, not yet.

I know this is going to sound really condescending but generally normal people getting involved in my line of work? It ends really badly, like with them losing an eye. Or worse.

If you're really interested in networking then I appreciate the help, but... You need to get the full picture of what you'll be getting yourself into.

Yes, it does. But by people who understand how serious this really is.

I'm a vampire slayer. There's vampires, demons. The occasional big bad, like a hell god, or an embodiment of evil. And lots more, but we might be sitting here for a while.

Vampires. Okay, I can handle that; I haven't fought vampires before, and definitely not gods, but I've taken out a demon or two - and my father tackled all of the above.

I'm a vigilante, a crimefighter. Robin, or the Red Robin, if you've heard of either. If you haven't... my adoptive father was Batman, and it seems like everyone's heard of him.
